A Journey to Bermagui – our cherished family destination

The small town of Bermagui is a stop that should not be missed if you’re travelling along the Australian NSW coast.
We’ve had the pleasure of exploring Bermagui on multiple occasions. Instead of outlining an itinerary, let’s share some recommended activities and tried-and-true accommodations in Bermagui.

Things to do in Bermagui

Blue Pool

For a rejuvenating swim against a picturesque backdrop, visit the Bermagui Blue Pool. Tucked amid rugged cliffs, this natural rock pool provides a serene and safe swimming environment. While New South Wales boasts numerous rock pools, the Blue Pool stands out as something truly exceptional and consistently remains our top choice.

Camel Rock Beach

Camel Rock is among the oldest rocks in New South Wales. This rock formation was created by underwater avalanches around 450 million years ago and bears a strong resemblance to a camel.

Fishermen wharf

Seated in the harbor, we enjoyed sea air and marveled at the colorful boats gently swaying. It was a pleasant experience observing fishermen unloading their catches, and we even took the opportunity to initiate a conversation, gaining insights into their experiences on the water.

Central Tilba is just a 15-minute scenic drive away. This historic village is renowned for its well-preserved colonial architecture, unique boutique shops, and delectable local produce.

It’s a delightful experience to meander through the charming streets, savor homemade treats, and immerse yourself in the enchanting old-world atmosphere.
