Asparagus stir fry

Stir-fry asparagus is healthy and simple to prepare, yet very delicious.  It is a beautiful dish to serve and makes a great appetizer or a side dish.

Asparagus is considered a super food. It is very high in anti-inflammatory and digestive benefits while being rich in antioxidants (cancer prevention) and natural fiber. This food promotes heart health and helps regulate blood sugar.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 bunch asparagus chopped to half
  • 4 cloves garlic finely chopped
  • Salt to taste

Spice powders

  • 0.5 tsp black pepper powder

Method

  1.  In a nonstick pan, heat the oil over high heat.
  2.  Add the garlic and saute till garlic gets browned.
  3.  Add asparagus, salt, and black pepper powder. Saute for 5 minutes or till the asparagus can be easily pierced with a fork.
  4.   Serve hot as appetizer or side dish.

Notes

  1.  I used Thailand Baby Asparagus.
