Mirchi ki sabzi is a mildly spiced and tasty side dish for chapati. This side dish is too common in Rajasthan and Maharashtra. This tastes good as a side dish with rice and dal too.

Ingredients
- 6 large green chilli / mirchi chopped
- 0.5 cup besan / gram flour
- 2 tbsp coconut grated
- Salt to taste
- 3 tbsp water
Spice powders
- 0.25 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp aamchur / dry mango powder
- 0.5 tsp garam masala
Seasoning Ingredients
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- pinch of hing / asafoetida
Garnishing Ingredients
- 2 tbsp coriander finely chopped
Preparation
- Cut the green chilli into 1 inch size after removing the seeds.
Method

Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, hing and turmeric powder. Saute on low flame for a minute

Add chopped chilli pieces and saute for 3 minutes or till blisters appear.

Add besan and roast continuously for 5 minutes. Roast till the raw aroma of besan disappears and turns golden.

Add 2 tbsp coconut , garam masala, amchur powder and salt.

Saute on low flame till the spices turns aromatic.

Add water and mix well.

Cover and simmer for 8 minutes or till sabji gets cooked completely.

Garnish with coriander leaves and enjoy hot with chapathi.

Notes
- Removing the seeds of the chilli is must. Otherwise it will be too spicy.
- Roast besan well. Or else the raw flavour will remain.
